Life dimensions ?! what does this mean?!

I was lost!

I told to myself “I have a lot of responsibilities. I have a lot of wishes and goals. All are mixed up together and I cannot make a balance between all of them. “

I discovered that I even did not have a clear image of the things that are filling my mind!

So, I decided to arrange my life.

I searched on Google ” how to arrange my life”

I read a lot of things. They built on time management. But the time management is for guys who know what they want but cannot balance them.

My issue is different, I even don’t know what I need to do. I have a lot of things with different priorities. I did not know what should I do and which should not.

Which is important to think of, and which is just dust in my mind?

How do eliminate the fake goals to just keep the real goals ?!

So, I was searching more and more. Finally, I found an interesting topic about life dimensions.

It was a very amazing thing. I did not know that I can attach anything in my life to be under a particular category.

So, I made a Brainstorming process by writing down in a notebook what I want from this life.

I empty all my mind in this notebook, then I start to classify the things. Every single thought must be under a category. By doing that I managed to have a clear idea of the meaning of the life dimensions.

What are the Life Dimensions ?

A Life dimension is a section that I want to improve in my life.

Life dimensions are:

  • Physical
  • Environmental
  • Emotional
  • Social
  • Mental
  • Financial
  • Spiritual
  • Occupational

As I can see, every dimension is a section of my life that I really want to improve.

Physical: means anything that I need to improve related to my body. Like, eating healthy foods, practicing sports…etc.

Environmental: means anything that I need to improve related to the environment Like arranging my office, making my bed, taking care of the trees in front of my house…etc.

Emotional: means anything that I need to improve related to my feelings. Like, how to control my anger, how to express my happiness, how to keep my positivity up…etc.

Social: means anything that I need to improve related to my relationships. Like, how to be a good father, husband, friend…etc.

Mental: means anything that I need to improve related to my knowledge. Like, the books that I need to read, the degrees that I want to have,..etc.

Financial: means anything that I need to improve related to my money. Like, how to manage my money, how to improve my financial situation..etc.

Spiritual: means anything that I need to improve related to my soul. Like, How to improve my relationship with GOD, How to improve my worship to be of the righteous…etc.

Occupational: means anything that I need to improve related to my career. Like, how to improve my own business projects, how to get the next promotion level in my normal job…etc.

Then, What to do ?

Knowing the issue is 50% of the resolution.

After I realized these facts, I start to put every single task in my life under these dimensions.

Examples:

  • I want to have a course related to web development. it is under the Mental dimension.
  • I need to spend some time with my family on a regular basis. it is under the Social dimension.
  • I aim to be promoted to the next level in my current job. it is under the Occupational dimension.

After I emptied my mind from all tasks that I want to do, I started to check if there is anything else that can be done related to these dimensions that I did not know about.

Examples:

  • What can else be added to the Financial dimension? Well, I need to have this amount of money at the end of the year.
  • What about the Environmental dimension? well, I have to arrange my office room to be more comfortable.
  • Regarding the Physical dimension, what can be added? well, it is important to focus on eating more healthy foods.

Conclusion

After all of that, I can now search for Time Management topics to help me balance all needed.

To manage my time, I need first to know what things to manage. This is the goal of this topic.

The goal is to know what you really want and need to do in this life and which category should they be under. This will make time management has meaning for  you. This will help you to success in your life!

Thank you for your time and have a very lovely day.
